Keyi - Last Updated: June 18, 2026

Please read these Terms before using Keyi. By downloading, installing, or using Keyi, you agree to these Terms of Service.

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a legally binding agreement between you and SafeX Inc. ("we", "us", "our") regarding the Keyi key remapping software and related website and services (collectively, the "Services"). If you do not agree to any part of these Terms, do not use the Services.

2. Description of Service

Keyi is a macOS key remapping utility that provides key remapping, combo keys, and shortcut commands. All mappings and configurations are processed locally on your device. We may add, modify, or discontinue any feature at any time.

3. License

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use Keyi on devices you own or control. You may not:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the software, except as expressly permitted by applicable law
  • Sell, rent, sublicense, or redistribute the software
  • Remove or alter any proprietary notices

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Services only for lawful purposes and not in any manner that violates applicable law or infringes the rights of others. You are solely responsible for how you configure key mappings and shortcuts on your own devices.

5. Third-Party Software

The Services may be used alongside third-party software or devices (such as peripheral vendors' companion software). We are not responsible for any third-party software, device, or service, which is governed by its own terms.

6. Privacy

We respect your privacy. The Keyi app processes your key mappings and configurations locally on your device. How information you voluntarily submit (such as feedback) is collected and handled is described in our Privacy Policy.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Services are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of defects. You use the Services at your own risk.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, SafeX Inc. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, use, profits, or goodwill, however caused and under any theory of liability. In no event shall our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Services exceed the amount you paid for the Services (or zero, if provided free of charge).

9. Dispute Resolution

Governing Law. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles.

Informal Resolution. Before bringing any formal claim, you agree to first contact us at [email protected] and attempt in good faith to resolve the dispute informally. Most concerns can be resolved this way.

Binding Arbitration. Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms, our website, or our Services that is not resolved informally shall be resolved exclusively through final and binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its applicable rules, rather than in a court of law. The arbitration shall be seated in Orange County, New York, and judgment on the arbitrator's award may be entered in any court of competent jurisdiction. This arbitration agreement is governed by the Federal Arbitration Act.

Class Action Waiver. You and SafeX Inc. agree that each may bring claims against the other only on an individual basis, and not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class, collective, consolidated, representative, or private attorney general proceeding. The arbitrator may not consolidate more than one person's claims or otherwise preside over any class or representative proceeding.

Jury Trial Waiver. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, you and SafeX Inc. waive any constitutional or statutory right to sue in court and to have a trial before a judge or jury, electing instead that all disputes be resolved by arbitration as set out above.

Severability. If the Class Action Waiver above is found unenforceable as to any claim, that particular claim shall be severed and adjudicated in a court of competent jurisdiction in Orange County, New York, while all remaining claims proceed in arbitration.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
